The Islands' two major telecom providers, Digicel Cayman and Cable & Wireless, recently renewed their lease agreements with the Ministry of Communications, Works and Infrastructure, and the Telecommunications Office. Officials from both organisations and government added their signatures to the contracts, which continue the telecom providers' lease of space on government-owned towers in all three islands. Signing on behalf of Cable & Wireless were Chief Regulatory and Carrier Relations Officer Rudy Ebanks, and CEO Northern Caribbean Area Mark Macfee. CEO John D. Buckley signed on behalf of Digicel. Ministry of Communications, Works and Infrastructure Chief Officer Carson Ebanks, MBE, JP and Telecommunications Officer Kernilon Owens signed on behalf of the Cayman Islands Government. Government-owned towers are shared by Cable & Wireless, Digicel Cayman, Hurley's Entertainment, Radio Cayman and TeleCayman Ltd.
